A mild and dry morning leading to a warm and humid day. There is a chance for some afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 90s. Lows will stay near 70 through the weekend but highs will be a little bit lower for the weekend.
Gustav will continue to be watched carefully. Gustav is still in the Caribbean but it is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend and the storm is expected to become a Category Three Hurricane. The projected path of Gustav could take it anywhere from Texas to Florida, but all eyes are on the Louisiana coastline at this time.
