KOCO Launches New 24-Hour Digital Weather Channel

OKLAHOMA CITY -- KOCO-5 is proud to launch a new 24-hour, 7-day-a-week local weather channel, specially designed to serve Oklahoma viewers. First Alert Weather 24/7 launched Monday on Cox Digital Cable 222 and broadcast over the air on KOCO-DT channel 5.2.On the new digital channel, viewers will see live Advantage Doppler HD radar, the 7-day forecast, current conditions and breaking weather updates around the clock from KOCO-5 Chief Meteorologist Rick Mitchell and the First Alert Weather Team."Serving our viewers' needs is what this is all about," said Brent Hensley, KOCO-5 president and general manager. "From our broadcast weather coverage on Eyewitness News 5, to the weather section of KOCO.com and now our new 24 hour digital cable channel, we're working to get viewers the information they want, whenever and however they want to get it."
