Requesting Station Sponsorship

A project proposal must be completed for KOCO to consider the request. Send via fax to KOCO Public Affairs at 1-405-478-6645. If you don't have access to a fax machine, please mail a proposal to:

KOCO c/o Public Affairs 1300 E. Britton Road Oklahoma City, Okla., 73131

Project proposals should include:

A description of the program or event. List the event date(s), time(s) and location(s). Include how many years the event has been held and how many people are expected to attend.

Indicate whether KOCO has been involved with the event in the past and if there are other media sponsors involved, too.

Please explain how the proceeds from the event will be used and what percentage of the net proceeds will directly support programs within KOCO's primary coverage area.

Please specify what is needed from KOCO (e.g., program/event on-air promotion, on-air talent, news coverage, etc.)

List any promotional opportunities available to KOCO through this event (e.g., logos on brochures and t-shirts, banners/booth at events, etc.)

Please submit the project proposal as early as one year in advance and no later than three months before the event.

The project proposal will be reviewed to determine whether the program or event is consistent with the current goals and objectives of the KOCO public affairs program. If the event meets selection policy criteria and the event can be worked into the existing public affairs calendars, someone from the creative services department will contact you.

Please take into consideration that February, May, July and November are "sweeps" periods in the television industry. Station resources to promote public service events during these months are limited.
