The 23rd-ranked Oklahoma Sooners try to get back on track this Saturday, when they play the first of two straight home games against the Iowa State Cyclones in Big 12 action from Norman. The Sooners enter the game on a low note, as they dropped a 28-10 decision to arch-rival Texas in the 101st edition of the Red River Rivalry this past weekend. It was the second loss in three games for the Sooners, who dipped to 3-2 overall. On a positive note, Oklahoma now heads back home, where it has won eight straight games and 27 of its last 28 overall. As for Iowa State, it was also in action last weekend, and much like Oklahoma, it was on the losing end of a 28-14 decision to Nebraska. It was the third loss in four games for the Cyclones, who fell to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in league play. Saturday's game will mark the fourth ranked opponent Iowa State has played in its last five games. With regards to the all-time series, Oklahoma owns a commanding 65-5-2 advantage over the Cyclones, including a 33-3-1 mark in Norman. The Sooners have won nine straight meetings against Iowa State overall and eight in a row at home.
