EDMOND, Okla. -- A driver who wouldn’t stop for expired tags led police on a 20-minute chase through metro streets Thursday. The chase was captured by KOCO news helicopter Sky 5.Craig Spiva was arrested at the end of the chase, after police said he swerved in and out of traffic and nearly sideswiped a truck.Police said the chase shocked even them.
“It was terrifying,” said Glynda Chu, of the Edmond Police Department. “This man showed no regard for anyone on the road.”Spiva eventually surrendered to police near Northwest 63rd Street and Midwest Boulevard. The officers who arrested him said they found cocaine and a crack pipe in his car.
