OKLAHOMA CITY -- Some Oklahomans spent part of their Saturday snatching up pieces of state history.Bidders battled for bargains at an auction of property from the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. The items for sale included light poles, turnstiles and even a Zamboni ice rink machine.
“A couple of years ago, I bought the walk-through turnstiles and I put those on my ranch,” said buyer Dian Bower, who came from Norman for the sale. “They’re a really good conversation piece and I like to tell (people) they came from the fair.”Bower planned to use the turnstiles she bought Saturday to keep her horses in their stalls.
