Laurie has been a correspondent for Hearst-Argyle Television's Washington DC bureau since 2000. Since then she's had the opportunity to interview major newsmakers including President and Mrs. Bush as well as Vice President Dick Cheney, and to cover a wide range of events including the September 2001 terrorist attacks, presidential elections, and the funeral of Pope John Paul II in Rome.Before coming to DC, Laurie was a weekend anchor and reporter at Hearst-Argyle's KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is originally from the New York area and graduated from Amherst College, Amherst, MA, with a degree in French.
Laurie and her husband, Michael, live in Arlington VA. They enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and biking.
