Jordan Williams

Jordan Williams joined Eyewitness News 5 in January 2007 as a reporter. His first on-air assignment was reporting live on the winter blast that paralyzed parts of Oklahoma.

Prior to arriving at KOCO 5, Williams was an anchor and reporter at KWES-TV in Midland, Texas. During his tenure there, he received several first place awards from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters including Best Newscast, Best Reporter, and Best Investigative Reporting.

Jordan is particularly proud of an investigative report that exposed an undercover gambling operation at an Odessa business. Ultimately, his report prompted prosecutors to shut down the store. Williams also reported extensively on the Ector County School District's controversial high school Bible class. Those reports garnered him a School Bell Award from the Texas State Teachers Association.

Williams previously worked at KSAT-TV in San Antonio as an associate producer and at KRTU-FM as a news anchor and producer. He graduated with honors from Trinity University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in both communication and music.

Jordan grew up in Southeast Texas and worked as an intern at KFDM-TV in Beaumont. Williams admits he's been obsessed with television news since he was a child; he even used to produce his own newscasts. For Jordan, meeting people and being able to tell their stories is the most rewarding aspect of working in television.

Jordan is active in the community, sharing his second love, music. A trained church organist, Williams frequently substitutes at churches and performs recitals.
