Brooke Hogan has made a public apology to her father, Hulk Hogan, for what she called false allegations that the professional wrestler abused her mother, People magazine reported.

"I did it under significant pressure from my mother," the 20-year-old reality show star said in a statement to the magazine. "It was only after I learned all the facts that I realized I made a big mistake in signing it."

The magazine said Brooke Hogan issued the statement after a tabloid released an affidavit that surfaced, claiming Hulk Hogan verbally and physically abused Linda Hogan during their marriage.

Linda Hogan filed for divorce from Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, last November.

Brooke Hogan lives with Hulk Hogan and is not on speaking terms with her mother, People magazine said. But, Brooke Hogan added, she hopes for to reconcile "one day."

"Brooke Bollea is distressed at the latest efforts by mother, Linda, to fracture the family. This time they let leak out an old document that Brooke signed filled with exaggerations and fabrications about father Terry's behavior during the marriage," a representative for Brooke Hogan told People. "The months-old document was signed by Brooke at a time when she was upset with her father."

It's been a tumultuous year for the Hogan family. In May, Hulk and Linda Hogan's other child, Nick, began serving an eight-month jail sentence after pleading no contest to causing a crash that seriously injured his friend, John Graziano.
