Friday, Aug. 15
ANADARKO - Wichita Tribal Dance with tiny tots and teen contests on Friday starting at 6 p.m.; a Gourd Dance starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday with supper served at 5:30 p.m. with contest for teens following supper. On Sunday the Guard Dance begins at 2 p.m., supper at 5:30 p.m. and adult contest following supper, Wichita Tribal Complex on Hwy. 281. Information: 405-247-2425.

BROKEN ARROW - The next program at the Sooner State Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society will feature Lynda Ramsey and Paula Hackler, playing duets on the piano and the mighty 1928 Robert-Morton theatre pipe organ. 7 p.m., Tulsa Technology Center, Broken Arrow campus. FREEDOM - Freedom Rodeo and Old Cowhand Reunion is an open rodeo along with a Western arts and crafts show and a dance will follow the rodeo both Friday and Saturday night, rodeo starts at 8 p.m. with events going on all day on Saturday, Rodeo Grounds. Information: 580-621-3276.

HOLDENVILLE - Hughes County Free Fair features a carnival, livestock judging, exhibits, food and craft vendors, continues through Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Hughes County Expo Center. Information: 405-379-3977.

McALESTER - Oklahoma State Prison Rodeo, the largest behind the walls prison rodeo in the country with IPRA cowboys competing in timed events and prisoners from around Oklahoma try their luck with bulls and broncs, Friday and Saturday, starting at 7 p.m., Oklahoma State Penitentiary. MUSKOGEE - Candlelight Tours of the USS Batfish, hosted by Batfish Living History Association, 8 p.m. -10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Muskogee War Memorial Park. The reenactors will be out on regular tours and a USO camp also will be part of the festivities.

NEWKIRK - Wayne Newton in concert with special guest Darla Z, 8 p.m., First Council Casino, 12875 N. Hwy. 77.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Summer Shootout Barrel Racing horse show through Sunday, State Fairgrounds.

ENID - Stop the Cancer Concert, featuring several Christian-based bands and groups, with Enid's Faded Glory, Oakwood Christian Church's Merge Band; The E-Town Rhythm Kings; Enid's The Refuge Band; American Stereo, of Stillwater; 4-Given; Skyline Circle; Radial Angel from Oklahoma City and The Trust Project of Hillsboro, Texas will perform starting at 11 a.m. with the music finishing up around 11 p.m., Mark Price Arena.
